That looks like a hoot. I love this comment in the review about its being a portmanteau film… “but this is to overstate its structural soundness – it’s more rickety than that.” Ha ha!

When a movie’s quality can make a film reviewer’s comments witty .. then it MUST BE a good movie, Sue, doncha reckon ?

That does look funny. My problem with subtitled movies is I miss half the action while I’m busy reading. Now if it were dubbed instead …

You obviously haven’t spent enough time watching sub-titled movies, you idle woman !!!

You’re right. I usually prefer a series with shorter-than-a-movie episodes. And unless the whole world is raving about a given movie, I avoid subtitled movies. I’m lazy and my attention span has gotten notably shorter.

Mine too, Colorado; and I can’t read an actual book any more (but I have a HYOOGE collection of audiobooks now !).
But I’ve been watching sub-titled movies and television for most of my life, so am very happy I haven’t lost that pertickler art ..

Now I think I’d like to see it! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I note your comment about hoping to stream it. It wasn’t all that long ago I routinely went to the cinema and enjoyed “the big screen” experience. I have lost that ambition–entirely! If I can’t stream a film, I likely won’t see it. Thanks for the review. 🙂

Debra darlin, I do hope you have a streaming source for Euro movies then.
It really looks like my kind of movie (my favourite of all times is “Galaxy Quest”), and, I hope, that of anyone reading here.

That’s my sister’s favourite.

I don’t have a specific source for European films, but often about a year after a European release the film will be offered here. I just have to stay vigilant. I don’t know why we can’t “share” the arts more routinely, and in “real” time!

I can send it to you over the net if you like, though that’s not the same as streaming. You’ll just need to download it from a link I send you and then watch it using video software, like VLC (which is excellent – and free!), on your laptop or tablet.

Once you open it with the VLC player, find “subtitles” on the toolbar (that opens for VLC) and then choose English if you need them.
