OK, so here’s my other FO of the moment: another cardi, but from this pattern
which I followed religiously (it’s how I do everything).

Huge enormous closeup so that you can admire her patterning of 1 row of double crochet followed by 1 row of single crochet, so that all the dc stitches are facing the same way !
I seem to be absolutely unable to hit the happy medium of making a garment that fits me perfectly: almost all of the bastards are too small or too big. I have to refer back to those colourful boxy sweaters for total happiness. [grump grump ..]

I liked the bigger sleeves on your last model. (Maybe because I’m a generous size.) But either way, I’m jealous as hell of someone who can actually make something wearable! What a useful skill to have. (I couldn’t even have told you if that sweater was knitted or crocheted.)

I’m still at the stage of trying different things – stitches, sleeves, length, necklines, etc. I NOO you would be: yet another thing we share !! 😀

What’s wrong with the fit? Looks good to me. A little on the loose side but not too much, which is just the way I like it – covers up any bumps and is comfortable over other clothes.

But it has to stretch to button up. I think I’ll send it up to Goanna in Sydney; then she can put it in the reject clothes bin. 😀
