I hear stuff I doubt I’ve heard before – the noise that pulling on my jeans makes, to start with. Then the startling loudness of me swearing when I don’t get the hook into the first eye behind my bra – heavens ! Can the whole building hear me too ?? Are they all rolling their eyes and telling their partners “Uh-oh .. she’s getting dressed !”
I think tomorrow I won’t put in these hearing-aids until after I’m dressed.
Have you just got hearing aids? Have I missed something OR just forgotten. Anyhow, this is gold …

Had ’em for ages, wouldn’t wear ’em because they make my ears stick out. 😦

But they aren’t really comfortable anyway. I do not love them.

No, I can understand that. I hate reading in bed with glasses, and I hate the idea of having to manage hearing aids – the cleaning, the batteries etc. My Dad’s hearing aid issues sent us spare in the last few years of his life, and he was good at managing them over all but …

I eliminated that bra sound years ago by fastening the hooks in front and then turning the whole thing around. The jeans sound went away when I switched to pants with elastic or drawstring waists.

I’ve had friends who from time to time just refuse to wear their aids because of what you’re describing. I would imagine it takes a lot of adjusting. But aren’t they just amazing? These days the hearing aids are so refined from what we knew of them when we were young. Oh getting older! 🥰

I’m not sure .. I seem to be hearing conversations held across the road rather than those in which I’m involved, Deb.
Must be me, I’m sure. Might find somewhere to go to ask about this: the Cohealth office I got them from has shut down. 😦

I hope it gets straightened out. I do think it may just take some time. I’m basing my “expert opinion” on what I’ve overheard. LOL! But at the same time I have had friends stop wearing their devices except when absolutely necessary, and what you’re describing is likely the reason why!

Hey, as long as you don’t start playing the drums with the hearing aids in, neither you nor your neighbors will be troubled…yeah?
