My good mate Colorado has just posted that she was being “helped” by AI when trying to write on WordPress.
I said I hoped that was associated with her theme, and that AI hasn’t dared raise its bloody ugly head here.
So creating this fairly meaningless post is to check that WordPress hasn’t done some utterly vile worldwide template change and introduced AI everywhere.
So far so good.

That said AI has its pluses. I like it when I search on Firefox and I get an AI generated summary of the information. You have to have your wits about you but it’s useful. I wonder if Colorado’s AI is theme based or browser based or operating system based?

My theme is Resonar but I’m paying for a “business” plan and some AI options are available for me to use — if I can figure out how to access the controls. It does some potentially useful things. Just have to decide how or if you want to use it.

This seems to be the over-riding theme with AI, Colorado – that one needs to know exactly how to utilise it in order to get the best out of it. Me, I wouldn’t have a bloody clue, and care less.
You, however, being more ready to be challenged, are far more adventurous ! 🙂

The AI options were bundled with some other features I wanted, so I didn’t really have a choice. But at least I can turn all the AI off when I don’t want to fool with it, which is most of the time. The problem comes when I can’t remember where the settings are.

There are so many people trying to convince me that AI is worthwhile, but I am not a big believer. I see the allure, but I think we’ve introduced trouble into our lives. And we don’t need more of that! 😉

Well, it does run a spell checker if you want it. We’re all familiar with that. That’s the only function I leave turned on.

I try to avoid AI, but it automatically gives me a response on Google when I am searching for information. I feel like the longer we go on, the more intrusive and weird the internet and social media is becoming.

Entirely agree, dearest M-J !!! I spend a v. long time trying to rid my system of Co-pilot, which is now doing its best to instruct me even in bloody WORD !!!! Grrrrrrrrrr … 😡
