That cat might have been the only thing in the world he cared about, or the only thing he had left. Still, it was more than some people had left. Such an unspeakable tragedy for so many. And yet Trump threatens to withhold federal aid because he doesn’t like how California manages its water.

What a precious reunion! I’ve seen multiple stories that were similar, but hadn’t seen this particular one. You’d love to know, too, M-R, that our community is really taking care of hundreds of currently displaced pets. There is a very well coordinated effort to make sure that families can rest knowing that their beloved pets will be cared for and then returned when they land. It’s been heartwarming. Currently these pets mean everything! Thanks for posting this special video.

His reaction seemed to me to represent the indescribable pain and loss that so many of you must be feeling – a kind of hysterical, over-the-top reaction encapsulating all the horror of what’s been happening.
And yes, Deb; the pets do stand for everything !

Sorry I missed this when you posted it, MR, but this is so powerful. The loss people sustain in these fires is unimaginable, but losing a person or a pet is just the worst.
