They won’t be seen behaving like this with any other country’s leader, of course: they plotted to take advantage of Zelenskyy’s arrival to posture and froth, like the scumbags they are.

I follow Maddow with enthusiasm: she is knowledgeable, cogent and believable. She’ll be there telling it like it is when she’s as old as I am now.

  4. I am so embarrassed and angered at how Trump and Vance behaved and their continued behavior. There are many in America who feel the same way, that they went too far with Zelensky. I know from the experience of my ex-husband that narcissists are bullies and these two are that times a million. Horrible, mean bullies. They are going to have every country, except Russia and North Korea, despising us. Trump is going to ruin us, ruin the country I love, the democracy I love, for his own greed and need for power and influence. Warped. And he still has American voters who support him. I will never understand that and yesterday had to block a Facebook friend (I used to work with her and got along with her) who has drank a gallon of Kool-aid and then some. She and many others in the cult have no idea how brainwashed they have become, how Trump has used them, abused their Christianity, spread lies (that they never research), fomented hate. It’s disgusting and reprehensible what Trump is planning and doing to the country. I will never ever support him. Never. Asshole.

    However Trump is putting a stranglehold on the GOP, they need to stop this regardless of what their crazy constituents want or whether or not they will be voted in again. Before we lose our democracy entirely.

    I am heading to Boston, Maine and a teeny bit of Canada in June. I think I need a T-shirt that says, “I support Ukraine, Canada, Maine, and everything that is not done by a felon.” Or something like that.

    Thanks for letting me vent. I will shut up now. I hope Australia and the rest of the democratic countries never have to face this shit. It’s scary because I never thought I would in America.

      And yes, the GOP has long lost it and should be replaced as the Lincoln Project, the Meidas Touch and so many other once-Republican groups were going to do last time ’round.

  7. I was shocked by what happened, and then when I watched Rachel that night it was pretty clear to me that she was probably making her connections correctly. The entire thing was an ambush, and there is absolutely a hidden agenda. There just happened to be a reporter from the TASS news agency in the room? What a shock. The current administration is actively dismantling our governmental institutions, and I believe that there is a desire to completely align with Russia and against Europe. I keep asking myself… who wins? Not the American people.
    I also think that this was a petty pay back move because T got impeached for trying to extort Ukraine that one time… I also think that this was fury and bullying because he needs Zelenskyy to accept the proposed “deal” so he can get a Nobel Peace Prize (big deal, because Obama got one). For some reason they think that this is a superficial reality show, when the complexities of unintended consequences are beyond them. Today Mike Johnson was saying that maybe they needed another leader of Ukraine who would just accept the deal… oh, throw another log on the fire, why don’t you. This will not end well for the USA.

    • Alas, Marilyn, I fear you are absolutely right. Right now, the only people who stand to benefit from this administration are the very, very wealthy.

      I can’t get past the fact that Congress allows Musk to run riot.

        Everything that is happening just defies belief. I knew that we were in for unbridled greed and corruption, but who knew that it would be so out in the open along with naked hate and utter meanness.
