My mate over in my home town Perth is a serial emailer – of late they’re mostly political. He is conservative.
I am of late mostly apolitical; and were I to return to giving a rat’s arse about which party runs this country, I would very definitely not be voting the Coalition.
Be that as it may, Roger’s latest included an article written for The Australian (known for being right-wing) by none other than our not-very-recent Prime Minister of onion-chomping and budgie-smuggling fame, one Tony Abbott. Whom I have castigated and fulminated about more than once in this blog.
It nearly chokes me to say this, but the article actually makes sense to me …

India – formerly non aligned stepping in as peacekeepers? They have the population to do this and the nuckear deterrent capability but what might they want in return?
It seems if they are agreeable a way forward. Who would have thought TA would say something sensible?

I’d not thought about India in forever. But if they can help keep Ukraine free, so be it. I am still so mortified by Trump’s treatment and betrayal of Pres. Zelensky and Ukraine that I am verging on tears yet again. In my world you don’t betray trust, you don’t turn on friends, you don’t abandon them unexpectedly just when they need you the most and start negotiating their future with the invaders they’ve been fighting.
