Talk about handcrafting … !!

Should I try going back to knitting, then ? – if it might result in this …

The operative word is the first verb. 😦

Handing you a challenge, Michele.

Just kidding.

Sighh …

    • Well, not mine, either, to be honest – too much fiddling about with multiple threads.
Tell me, do you know why your comments won’t show up without my having to approve them ? Comments are set to be accepted after first one’s been examined with a microscope, fumigated, run through a wind tunnel and then dipped in … aah … something scary. 🙂

    • Oh,me too, beautiful Deb !! But I think it can’t be actual knitting: the edges of things are too sharp.

How’re things in long-suffering California – personally and generally – pray tell ?

      • It’s a beautiful sweater. Maybe it’s machine knit? Oh California. Oh Los Angeles! This is insane. Produce is rotting in the fields and businesses cannot operate. We are a region reliant upon our immigrant labor. The cruelty that’s being unleashed, true cruelty dispatched with GLEE, is disgusting. But sending in the National Guard and military is just to give Trump a photo-op. The entirety of the “lock down” area is maybe one mile square. The immigrants aren’t showing up, so the violence is coming from the typical agitators. Personally, this depresses and alarms me. I’ve been so low for over a year that this is pushing my buttons, and all of my “alarm bells” are going off. Aren’t. you glad you asked??? Crazy times!!

        • I can always trust you to give me an honest answer – thank-you !

Things are worse than anyone expected – which is saying heaps inasmuch as everyone expected the worst. 😦

If your alarm bells get too loud, Deb, you should talk to a helpful person loud enough to drown them out. Don’t be reluctant: right now your country is in deep need of those who can advise how to cope.

          • It doesn’t change everything for me, but I am really enjoying our late night television hosts and their scathing and yet humorous monologues. Little drops of sanity do help. And it is truly insane. Thank you for caring, M-R. I think you know more about what is going on here than many Americans. That’s how we got into this mess in the first place. ❤️

            • Absolutely correct. Americans have been taught to be – well, feckless all your lives: raised on the mantra “We live in the greatest country in the world !” You’ve had your hands held by the great and powerful forever, to your detriment: you never had to learn to do your own thinking. Of course, this is gross hyperbole – but in essence it’s right. And it did just as you say – got you into this hideous mess.

I do feel for you, I truly do.

              • I think you have measured the situation very accurately, M-R. The only thing that gives me a little hope is that people are waking up. Even those who were Trump supporters and said they “liked” his stand on immigration are pretty alarmed at what we’re seeing. I cannot say loudly enough that what we’re seeing is devastating and very alarming. I really appreciate your ability to understand how serious this is…we will come through it, I think, but it will take decades to rebalance. 🤷‍♀️
